g'day, we will be down from 24th to 6th january to see the folks, and we are bringing the 12 footer down, and not sure what to chase..... i'm thinking up hays inlet the flatties, muddies and prawns, but as far as the shallow reefies are, i'm not too sure?
is the reef at scarborough the eversleigh reef? the one at the end of the spit?? is it easily accessible? or what's the best track in getting there?
also interested in the queens beach reefs, are the ramps in these spots easy to manage in terms of a small 2 wheel drive vehicle?
are there places to chase mackies/pelagics around the area that are a suitable distance for a small boat?

Hi Hazza. The Queens beach area has plenty of reef and rubble bottom best to bring a small sounder. Best to fish early mornings before the wind gets up as the ramp is pretty exposed. No worries with 2wd car. There's plenty of sweetlip around at the moment and big catfish. Fish light and go heavy on the burley.

thanks for the reply Pete, have only launched from the clontarf ramp before, so keen to try some other grounds.
