After a long and painful search I finally scored a 99 NL paj in good nick.
It needs the 180K service done and I would like to replace the timing belt and water pump. The only issue is that to use Mitsu service centres costs a bomb ($1450).
Can anyone recommend somewhere in Brisvegas that might be able to do it cheaper?

not too sure how good you are with tools, but most timing belts are not too difficult, they just take a bit of time, some more than others.

do the water pump at the same time, its behind the timing belt
bigger job than it sounds in a pajero

Yeah was adding that on to the job trueblue, may as well seeing I'm spending all that on the labour!
Ringing around town, I'm quite surprised at the cost variation across town (like close to 50%) even among the mitsu dealers. One things for sure, it ain't a cheap job.

V6 pajeros are a bitch to do the timing belt. anything V6 mitsubishi is a bitch. i really would not attempt to do it yourself if you dont know what your doing.

I bought me water pump and timing belt all up about 120 bucks.
Then thought about doing it! and rang lube mobile instead, They quoted 210 Bucks for the job if you have the parts.
Obviously I said when can you get here, I'm over skinning knuckles on thankless jobs.
Good job too! only a few bits left off, and he dropped a screw driver and a spanner behind as well. Not that I need more tools sheeesh, think I could start a Kenards Hire.

cheers guys getting it all done next week, 180K service (all fluids) plus t belt and water pump. New shoes went on it today Maxxis 751s - will see how they go. in the end mitsu was cheapest, even cheaper than ultratune, although sh*tloads of variation among all of em ( some over 2K:o ) .
