Helllo all got a new outfit the other day a 7'6" jarvis walker triumph rod and a 2500 triumph reel. I was wondering wether to put 6lb or 8lb spiderwire braid on it. i will be mainly whiting bream flathead fishing. bait s/ps and h/bs. any help appreciated.::)

Either will do, but I would suggest you go with 6 lb Tuffline XP or Fins instead. Just a little more user friendly than Spiderwire.

6lb is the go, all my light outfits now have 6lb on then, in reality it probably breaks at almost double that which is enough to stop most big fish (up to 7-8kg fish). As Tim said fins is nice and i have found good old fireline to also be effective in that weight.

4 or 6lb braids are the go. 4lb generally breaks around the 8lb mark anyway

i agree with tunaticer 4 or 6 would do i wouldn't go any stronger if you are only going to be chasing those species of fish.
