Hey fellas, the guys on fishnet have fallen asleep and no one wants to help me - :'(

I want to get my father in law a fishfinder for his boat, but i only have $ 250 to spend.

Can anyone recommend something decent ? I want to be able to differentiate the fish from the bottom and possibly see my line on the way down ? is that too far fetched lol

Also i live in sydney and am planning on fishing botany bay :) I know most people here are all queenslanders but any help would be greatly appreciated :)

BTW I WAS BORN IN NSW BUT GO FOR THE MAROONS HEHE

hi , i fish in the bay & have a humming bird matrix 12 which i first had on runabout & have now put it on my 530f haines as the one on it when i brought it was original & very grainy. That model if you want to later can be added to use as gps for about $200 . I got it from BIAS . Does the basics, not colour .

Have a look at the Lowrance X52. Few extra bucks, but worth the extra $50 or so.
Cheers.
