Hi there guys + girls

A friend of mine has offered to sell me a portable magellan colour gps for 300.00 and i was just wondering if any of you have had any experience with these units. and weather it is worth buying it. It looks like it will do roads rivers and any where else i choose to go. i want to use it mainly for my boat when i go to the dams to mark points of interest but also as a gps in the car.

are there any other units that i should be looking at ? is This a good price ?

G'day

I have one, has been a great little unit.

Be aware the technology in it is "old" with regards to road navigation. It's not turn by turn.

The marine charts are sparse in comparison to navionics/cmap and the like but is still fine for general use.
