Shimano Nexave rods?

Hello,

A local shop is selling Shimano Nexave rods of around 7ft (I think it was a 702, MAYBE a 762) for $35 incl a spool of random 20lb line, some swivels and a bunch of hooks... It's called a "snapper pack" hehe.

I suppose these rods would be too small for me to put my 6000 size reel with 20lb line on for fishing close offshore?

Should I bypass the finance minister and buy it for use with my 3500 ish sized reel that has 12lb line on it?

Seems cheap, original sticker suggests the price on them was $130 before going on clearance.

Which shop is this? I'd be interested in getting one as well for this price. I think they are a lot like the starlo stix

It was BCF, the dirty pricks... They had sold two of the three by time I returned, the last one had the sign removed and they denied that was the price.

Dissapointed...
