Hey all

I've ordered myself a new spool for my kix caldia reel and I'm looking to fill it with some 50lb (or thereabouts).

Wondering if anyone has used the FINS XS braid? I've used FINS stuff before and I've been pretty happy with it.

I've noticed the ad in the new Modern Fishing and it sounds the goods:

8 spectra strands
Round profile
Soft and smooth
Doesn't bury into the spoolAnyone had any experience with this stuff before?

Horrible, horrible stuff....worst line you could have got. Get your money back.. nah just kidding. Never used the XS, but if it's as good as their standard line you'll be laughing.;D

Mate, if you want 50lb braid I would strongly recommend Castaway PE. Thinner than 30lb Fins, no memory, beautiful to cast..........the only negative is to watch out for is occasional air knots as it is soooo light!

Available from Tackle Warehouse Coorparoo.....

Cheers Peter but.........

I know a lot of people recommend castaway, I have a spool of 10lb castaway on one of my Sol2500 spools, sorry I mean half a spool of 10lb castaway. I've had to cut more line off that spool due to wind knots than I care to think about. :-X If i'm going to spend that sort of $$$$ then I dont want to be throwing it out. I'm yet to have a single windknot with my FINS.
