Hey everyone
Was out cruising around on the jet ski on the weekend in the southern bay and saw heaps of birds swooping the water.
If anyone was out did they notice if they were mack tuna or if there are any LT's still terrorising the bait fish.
I'm taking a mate from overseas on friday and keen to put him onto a few.
Cheers

i've been chasing them around for the last 3 weeks. Currently in the bay there is a mixture of MT, LT and tailor. However all the larger fish are borderline uncatchable at the moment, all we've had is a few hits from the 4-5kg MT and landed a fe 2kg specimens all of the big MT and LT have shown no interest in any of the slugs, platics or surface lures we've thrown at them. At the moment they are eating tiny frog mouth pillies smaller than a 10gram metal profile. This needs to be the starting point for your slugs along with a lite fluoro leader (15-20lb) if you want to get any hits. I'm sure if you persist long enough and try enough things you can crack the LT's i just haven't been able to find out how yet this season (once the bait gets a bit bigger and abundant enough for them to ball it up we should be sweet).
