View Full Version : 20 or 30lb for musgrave island??

hi all

i am going to musgrave island/great barrier reef this coming thursday and i am wondering what to put on my 4000 stradic 20lb or 30lb braid any suggestions would be greatly appreciated;D

30lb for sure. difference in diameter is neglegable but an extra 10lb of pull is well worth it.

Are you taking any heavier gear? you may need it

I'd definitely go the 30lb braid for out around the reef.

Make sure to run good length leader of at least 50lb tough mono because you WILL! get rubbed up against a lot of nasties.

haha na my mate owns a 50ft catarmaran so we r going in that for like 5 days cant wait u been there??
