does the line go over that doohicky on the top? and if so wouldn't it interfere with a good cast?

If it doesn't go over that, what keeps the line from peeling off in even a small current? Or do you put it over the doohicky after a cast??

The line goes in exactly the same position as a normal line roller it just has to be put there manualy,that is there is no bail wire to pick it up.Not a new concept by any stretch,in fact alot of the older threadlines used this set up,I think Mitchell's were right into it and in fact Van Staal still use this system today.
