what is your favourite beach reel for jews and taylor in the gutters it will be going on a 12' 4-10 kg 21-84g lure weight rod got a penn 750s but a little bit shy on drag and getting a bit old

if that`s a penn spinfisher you have, then just service or replace the drag.
you have a great reel there.

okuma av 80 every thing from whiting and bream [ as you get 2 spools ] to good big jewies and sharks . ive had mine for 5years and has NEVER let me down .

no its the model before where the drag knob locks and normally breaks, lucky mine is still in one piece. Was looking at the Diawa 4500 saltiga surf.

Hi. As Reggie says, nothing wrong with your Penn 750SS, they are a great reel.
My personal favourites are the Bretton 900 series, the old Mitchell 498/499 are great reels also.
Centre pic shows why I prefer the Brettons, larger drivetrain components than the Mitchell.

My favourite for jewies is the Alvey 700E5. and for tailor i love the 650 C5 model. both indestructible reels and allow direct feel 100% of the time.
