I have just purchased a Shimano Torium 20 :)and now need a matching rod............:huh2:
I intend to load it with 50 lbs braid and before I start cruising around the tackle shops, just wanted to get some input from you guys, who fish the bottom out in the deep blue.
My budget $300 max.

Good to see you chucked that clunky old heap you brought out the other day!!!
Once this weather comes good, we'll get out there again. Just leave those damnable bananas behind, Bruce!;D;D;D
Cheers,
Tim

OK Tim,
That enough cheek out of you. Without wanting to jeopardise me getting out on your boat again, if my memory serves me right that “clunky old heap” caught the most fish, that day. However we won’t tell anybody what they were or how small they were either

Yeah, only because my crappy braid kept me from landing a monster!
