Bowen Classic fishing comp.

Hi guys ,

I'm heading up to fish the comp next weekend , 1st time in this comp.
Has anybody got any hot spots or GPS marks that they could share with a fellow
ausfish member? So that we can have a ausfish member on the podium.

Hey fisho, if its your first time launch of the grays bay boat ramp and head out to 2 groups of boats that will be anchored there on the mackeral patches

Its about 4 - 5 km out, you should see them from shore just, enjoy

Illle be at the reef, 10 - 15 knot forecast currently

I don't have any mark for the bowen area, but do into the loacl news agents and maybe tackle store and get yourself a copy of Norht Quieensland Angler (I think), Heaps of marks in their you can use as a good starting point to troll around and find better ones nearby. If you are going to troll, keep your eyes glues to the sounder, marking any bumps that you can come back and re visit for a proper look and a drop or two to see what could be holding there. often the best marks are no bigger than a small car-size lump of rock or gravel.
