Hi Guys
I am buying a new reel for tossing plastics, frogs and lighter lures at the Barra Dams. Thinking of getting a 3500 Daiwa Advantage, anyone use this range and have any comments? Seems to have a powerful drag, and usual Daiwa specs etc.
Thanks

I've heard a lot of good things around the traps about these reels. Personally only used the 2500 and 3000 size and find them to be great. I own a Cladia Kix 2500 and have used it in the dams with no trouble at all. If your serious source one from the states as they a cheap atm.

Have a Teirra 4000 similar reel.Found my Teirra to be a top bit of kit.
The Advantage is a similar quality reel.Same torno drag Sol body though.

The tackle shop with the mo have a 4500 size old model advantage for only $149, only one left. Bargain at that price. I have the same reel, but in the 4000 size and love it.
Regards,
Dave.

$149 for the older model...bloody bargain!
I got a TDA4500 in the previous model..cost me $350 at the time. Its a serious seriola stopper in sydney harbour..
IMO i reckon the older models are better than the new ones. I might get crucified for saying it but the newer ones seem cheaper???
Am i on my own here???
