im a magnet

i droped off my work mate after work this morn and on the way home i had to stop and have a flick in a creek i drove past. i only had my new custon rod in the car that was rigged up tailor with 6lb braid and a 12lb leader on and my new lucky lure, but i thort hey what the hell lets try and get a bream on it. first cast out and the lure lands about 50meters away(long cast) with a quiet splash. i start to walk, gee the lure looks good in the clear water, i thort. then 4 silver shadows rize behind my dog, i slow it down just a little to keep it in there face for a bit longer, then hit "oooooww" walk walk walk BANG YESSSS. i could not belive how hard this little sucker went, it was fun and my first bream on surface sinse the winter fell in. i then got a few more good hits untill i hit one of my bridges. i made a deep cast under and walked it out then some more brean start hitting the lure but underneath the bream was a black shadow oooo, it slowly rose to the surface as i twitched my lure then the colour changed it turned brown red and still kept rizing oooowaaa it then stoped and nudged it then shot off. my hart was in my throte, all the wile getting hit by the stinken bream. i then got a hook up on a nother bream and had to skull drag him in to get a verry quick pic and get my lure back in to the jack. i cast again walk walk walk SLAM holy crap, but no hook up, sh$t. i cast back in again but no hit dam. i then floged the spot for about half an hour then SLAM zzz drop grrrrrrr DAM IT. he did not come back after that so i moved on a bit and got a few more good hits from the bream but no more hook ups.

How often are people pulling Jacks in winter? My mate got one in Raby bay a couple of months back on a placcie. I can't even get one on the muggiest day of the year:'(
