Got onto a few pike over at Peel, same spot as previous reports.
Finished playing with the bait and knuckled down to chase a few Snaps. All the Snaps were caught between about 5:15 and 6pm on 5" Camo Gulps biggest was 50 odd cm
Awesome afternoon in glass, good feed and plenty of Crab Bait

Must have a chat with you one day Dave. Vitamin Sea had his boat done by you last year and raved about the job, all I have is an old Vsea that wouldn't mind a bit of TLC.

See how we go

Well done Leighton, nice couple of snaps. Can't wait for his brothers and sisters to move in closer to Wello. So, do you do alright with the pike as crab bait???

Hope so, they stink and are oily enough.
I usually use Watsons Bonito of Mac Tuna but there numbers are scarce this year.
Might even try them as Jack bait in Summer

When i saw the pics first up i almost thought you might have gone back to the stinky stuff :o:P

Looks like a great way to spend the last session at your favourite spot. Few quiet tears shed?:'(:'(;D

it's good to know someone is catching fish. I tried a lot of spots yesterday, but none this time not around Peel, and only ended with bait for next trip. What were the black lines on the sounder, between 5 & 6 meters.

at a guess, a fish that is in the transducers beam for some time as I was only drifting very slowly

no tears mate, looking forwards to a change of scenery.
I am sure there are places not far off the Palm Beach where I can bag a few Snaps. Alsi pretty sure Tally Creek and Currumbin have a few secrets to give up

Very nice, Hey mate ,saw that little piece you sent to Garrett, Tell me champ ,did you actually use drag on your reels and have a working curve on your rods when you caught yours ;D ;D or do you let yours run up to Green.

let em run mate, they eventually run out of puff:P after about 300m
I just close my eyes and prey the drag of all that line doesnt straighten the hook::)
