So how cold was it????

Camped at Kingscliffe Caravan Park over the weekend and boy was it cold. Plenty of activity in the ocean ... dolphins, schools of mullet, baitfish being attacked by macks or tailor, whales on the horizon but not one fish hooked. Not even a nibble! Good company over a few drinks made the weekend.

I have been out in the bay at dawn with thongs and i do know how cold this winter has been while every one is in bed warm. I also found out that plastics don't work to well on the beaches. I was at bribie one weekend and saw a lot of fisho's casting into schools and wished i had my trusty tinny with me. Its hard when all the action is to far to cast and no one has a boat on board. Cheers.

Thanks all, maybe it should be steam not evaporation. I didn't think the photo would come off as good as it did. On the right of the photo you can see the waves breaking on the reefs beside the bar entrance. Cheers8-)
ps yep Ddobson, was a bit frustrating when you can't cast 1000m into a school of feeding fish from the beach.
