Went down to my normal spot this morning in search of a Jew, as it has been a while since the last one.
We were met by fantastic conditions with just the smallest of swell lapping the rocks at 430am and with a low dew at 6 am I thought I was in with a good chance.
Well cast after cast with no luck and the only hit I got was from a bommie >:( One Rmg gone and the tide dropping I put on a spinner, thinking it was a bit early still for any tailor as it was dark as.Anyway after about 4 or 5 cast I hooked up to my first fish of the morning and they stayed on the chew till after the sun had just cleared the horizon and the they shut down. They were so thick that even if you dropped a fish you hooked up again with just 2 turns of the reel, even while I was on to a fish I had fish attacking the lure hoping to score a feed.
The funny thing was that my fishing buddy could not score a hit at all.
In the end I landed 11 good sized fish with the biggest going around the 2-3 kg mark and my mate just getting the 1 fish. I would say that I dropped about the same number of fish as I landed.
I was using a 40gm Knight/raider? slice while My mate was using a 65 gm one, that was the only difference between us.
As the title says I have misplaced my Camera so I don't have any pics to show, maybe tomorrow morning if I find it
Thanks for reading and have a great day
