Need a kick in the pants for going for a fish this morning. Knew in my heart to leave it and go about 12 .30 but the what ifs got me and I thought I;d give it a shot so still a late start at 7.30 had me on the water. A lot of regulars on the water all finding it hard to find anything on the chew.Run in tide and that dam wind made it hard to achieve a natural drift where I was fishing.Bream were even quiet but managed 2 on the critters.I knew I;d found a few squire but they were playing games and very half heartedly touching up the plastics and not interested in slamming them.Went down to the lightest gear but it wasn;t to be my day.Even Garrett pulled the pin today and told me I was on my own:-/ Having a chat to Chrisallangler on the water and mentioned that I;d had enough and I;d have a shot at a lizard and call it a day,Well at least that payed off and I managed to achieve a consulation prize;D and I was homeward bound only to be greeted by Garrett at the gate and of course that question of how was it? What else could I say but bagged out ,Nothing under 60 cms;D ;D . Never seen him move so quick to look in the fish box :-[ Ah well Next time ;) Cheers

Mate you were not alone today.
Steve and I travelled 140 k,s and only caught 3 fish all day.
1 of those fish made our day just like your flathead.
Still better than mowing the lawn..lol
Cheers Brent

ahh the What if bug! no point trying to fight it
The lad is getting slack, chasing too much tail and not committing to his camera dutys.

Your mission was a bit like ours. Why is fishing so quiet this time of year? Chief we have to catch up as i need some lessons on catching lizards :)

Chief I can always count on a good post and at least one or two pics of nice fish when I view your posts. Living up to expectations again I see. Well done.

Nice flattie chief.

That wind sure made things a bit of challenge - and bloody cool too. They were off their food yesterday at Mud. Very quiet with only 1 decent fish in 9 hours. Wishing I had gone for the dusk session instead.

Anyway mate, here's to next time

Cheers

Good result for an uneventful day. It is fish like that which save your sanity!!!! Looks like a nice day on the water anyway.

Hi Chief
we also gave it another go on Sunday and like everyone else didn't have a very good day although the young fella did manage a mack tuna. The best I could do is in the 2nd photo. Did I get some $h!t from the boy.
