can anyone give me advice on using paravanes in moreton bay dragging slugs for mackerel? locations on where to start would be really helpful. also what sort of slug would be best for this method?
any help appreciated.

Rous and Rainbow Channels would be worth a try with Raiders from 40g to 65g.

If you are using a paravane you should try using a trolling spoon instead of a slug. Lots more action and more flash.
Spoons are typically used behind either paravanes, trolling boards or downriggers.
Slugs and things like bumpabars and heavy toby's are more for casting where the weight is needed.

Try working the edges of drity water lines out from Woody Point accross to Mud and anywhere north of that.

look for the pros inside the bar using paravanes and no3 spoons

Try the smaller spoons. I used to use them but now use a downrigger. Its heaps easier to use and you can present at any specific depth
