Just had 7 night sailing the Whitsundays with the in laws aboard a 36 Footer Larrikin.
Weather was not so good early but soon cleared to be a magic trip with winds to light to even sail.
Sadly the hire company would not allow me to take my boat up as a tender, so fishing was limited to the mother ship and a few short trips in the tender.
We did manage a few feeds of Grassies and some decent Moses Perch, plenty of small stuff and every breed of Cod you could imagine.
I mainly fished plastics on 6lbs, smoked plenty of times but fun all the same. Father in law was a bait fisher and he didnt do to bad either.
We trolled when ever we moved x raps aof different depth, tremblers and spoon without any luck.
All in all a great trip, that will make our next trip even better
Thanks Mad Fisherman for the tips

Oh man. I've always wanted to do a sailing charter in the Whitsundays. It must have been tops.

Cheers
