My mate finally got a leave pass so we headed out at 5am or so from Dohles Rocks. Dropped the obligatory pots in the river and headed through the mouth. Was a bit ordinary trying to navigate with only 3 of the dozen or so beacons showing lights but got to Scott's Point safely.
Fished the finger of rock that runs between the point and Otter Rock (never quite sure what to call that area so if anyone knows, please let me know). Was very slow early but finally found a nice bit of ground with lots of fish showing on the sounder. Managed 3 legal bream including one snodger (35cm to V), a queenie, a wobbegong shark, a chopper, heaps of pike and even a little moses perch.
Pulled the pin before lunch and retrieved the pots which had not even been touched.
Great day on the water after too long a break.
