First off, I would like to send a big thanks to Greg for having me on his boat last night. It was a fantastic night, the weather and company was great  :thumbup:
Well thats all we have to report. Other then Mud is crap and there is no snapper there. You guys must buy the snapper, cause Greg and I talked alot about "How do they do it, can't understand how you catch them" Well my hat goes off to you guys that catch your 35cm+ snapps as I am yet to pop my cherry.
We did catch a fair few fish, from baby squire, bream, stripey trumpeters, grassy sweetlip, wobbygong shark, summer whiting, sand crab, coral, weed and moss.
All fish except for 2 bream were undersized >:(
Well thanks for listening and thanks again to Greg for a great night out, definatly abit comfier then the tinny. Looking forward to next time.
Take care.

my pleasure Callum and thanks. I think every time I hear the name Mud Island I will just shake my head and grumble like Lurch from the Addams Family TV series.
2 weekends in a row...2 overnighters and still not a legal squire...my opinion..I won't be rushing back there..would much rather hit an estuary and catch some bream..at least I get a feed that way.

I was there last Thursday and caught a nice feed. Sadly I forgot to charge the camera so didn't do a post. I guess I must just be lucky. Well done for getting out there though. I am sure you both had a great time on the water. Have been deckie for Pinhead in the past on TMD (Original) and I have to say he is the perfect host. Will have to break that fish hoodoo though. Better luck next time.

Good on you both for getting out there and having a go. It would have been a nice night out on the bay. And I agree, the Mud Is snapper can be very hard to find at times.

Fair dinkum Greg.
With all that bait you bought i thought you would have came home with a feed:o
Don't feel too bad though.I traveled 145.6 KM on Sat and didn't get 1 legal fish into the esky:'(
Maybe i should have joined you at Mud.

I have caught plenty after that time at Mud Island and of good size also.
However, there is no doubt that my best numerical catches have been at around sunset on a change of tide.

Plenty of fish species around Mud after 8pm, just have to move around a little with the progression of the tide.
Well greg, Muds snapper season is just under way, so still plenty of time.

Dont bag mud out just yet. saterday night you had a full moon and crystal clear water. Try going out after a big blow when the water is a little dirty. Snapper spooke very esaly in shallow water. The rougher the better .
