Me, my mate and his 8 year old son went up to Maroon today. We caught a total of 32 bass some legal most were not(but still fun to catch) all were released alive and well. The young fella caught 12 of them and had a ball.

Live shrimp but afgter number 28 only had dead ones left so it didn't matter to them by then. We were pulling between 5-8 off one tree.

Give you a good shrimp story.

I took a mate out on to Somerset last year when the fishing was hot.

Had about a dozen shrimp and catching a Bass or a Y.belly on every shrimp and at times catching a second on the previous bait.

All catch and release.

Finally used the second last bait and pulled in a good Yellow and asked my mate are you sure you dont want to take one home to show the girls.

He shook his head so I took the last shrimp, tucked it into the fishes mouth, cloesd it and lowered it into the water and we watched it swim away.

We drove home feeling pretty pleased with ourselves.

I am glad the fishing is not always like that we would clean out the dam.

Regards Gordon
