Hi all
Hit the Cockle Beds again today and nailed 69 beaut whiting (winterys) and 3 nice flatties. Lovely day out on the water, it was like Grand Central Stn in one area! I fished from 8am till 1 pm.
very good average size, for me the best this winter so far for size.
The Gulp worms are just killers on these fish.
As said before, dont use too much, just about an inch on your hook and make sure the hook tips well exposed to ensure a good hookup rate.
We have guests from Europe arriving tomorrow so now we have afew good feeds for them.
Cheers

Hi Honky Dory
I have tried the natural colour, some other green looking thing colour but would hve to say the red seems to be best for me. But I have caught on all those OK

I have been using the natural colour with similar results. Better than busting the back diggin worms. But they dont seem to catch as many as the real deal. Got a great haul this morning tight in to Kipparing, on the natural colour.

I tried the Banks yesterday with my wife. Our first time out there. We used the red Bloodworm Colour gulps, and had a great time. We
took two dozen yummy whiting and one Flathead home for dinner.
Must have released about 12 tiny flathead. One of which was trying to swallow a whiting i was pulling in and the whiting was more than half the size of the flathead. The beautiful colours on the ocean flathead is quite amazing.
