Heres a solo barra cruising around in the shallows. It swam straight at us!!
An attempt to land it with the landing net failed dismally!!

I was reading your post thismorning well done good footage don't think you would see them like that to often in summer.

Yeah, I wished I had of caught it on tape when he took off. but I was trying to electric away from a tree...new camera..well just a bit uncoordinated!!!
I have a few others from same day too!! Might post them too at some stage.
Barrakid, yeah its usually on this time of year. We cast a few lures at others, but They are never interested. The later the day went on, the less spookier they got.

I think that fish had lost the plot, just like you mentioned!! It wasn't typical behaviour for a healthy fish. I always believe that an uncensored DVD on barramundi and Australian camping would sell like hot cakes. Aussie slang and colourful description would highlight the vision that is for sure.
