Hi all,
does anyone know of any spots around SE QLD that I can go camping with the family and the dog and the boat??? I would like somewhere as close as possible to some good salt water fishing action. We love our camping but it seems a bit hard these days to find places that accept dogs. We don't mind being in remote areas (less people the better) and have all the gear needed for extended stays. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Cheers.

The only place I can think of that would forfill all your requirments is "Johns Landing", but you didnt say if you had a gun you could take with you.

what about the little camp ground at pincushion on the sunshine coast? I'm pretty sure it used to except dogs...and numerous boat ramps are close by.
You might have to drive a bit further mate, a few hours drive out of brissy down to South Ballina is nice, I'm pretty sure they except dogs at the South Beach Caravan Park and boat ramps are close by (if you have a fourby there's a beach to drive on as well).
a few hours further will take you to Mylestom, same deal again.

Haven't been to Noosa North Shore caravan park for a couple of years, but we used to camp there with our rottweiller.

Not far to launch a boat in the river, and plenty of beach fishing close by.

There are a few bush camps accessible by car and or boat on the banks of Bells, Coochin and Hussey creeks. Although technically it is a state forest nobody ever has dramas to my knowlege regarding taking the pooch along for a camp.

Dog friendly camping areas are scarce as these days in SEQ.

Rainbow waters caravan park at Carlo point Rainbow beach is a dog friendly park that has a good boat ramp next door. Some sites are right on the water and many people leave their boats in the water close to their camps. Good fishing and crabbing in the Sandy straights and if you are offshore capable then out through wide bay bar for some fantastic reef fishing in front of DI Point to the South or Fraser island to the North of the bar.

Fly, if you are in Bris, go to North Straddie.

A gun???????

I think bungie is talking about your potential neighbours, and then it depends on how big (and good) your dog is as to whether a gun would come in handy.:-/

Fly, with a name like that you would fit in well at johns landing. Make sure you have had all your shots first though and give the dog a good flea treatment etc. :P

Rainbow is the go bro, top spot, handy to the ramp. ;)

There is actually a dog friendly camp Webb site as I have found it before myself.

You can take your dog to Monduran and chase Barra if he behaves he self but let them know he is coming. ;D

Do you know the name of the website you are talking about as I have found a similar problem finding places for fishing/dog and the family.

The Fly - another option would be in most places at the pin (except south straddie) but there are plenty of places st north straddie/crusoe and the other islands) which fit what you are looking for.

Cheers
