Hi, heading over to Forster on the weekend and was wondering where some good spots might be to fish, close inshore or in the lake area. Anyone been over there lately, as I was hoping the weather has been good.

If you were to ask this question on another australian fishing forum, you'd get more replies. Ive found this foum is great for SE QLD and Northern NSW whilst another forum is better for Sydney and yet another for Melbourne areas.

Gday Aw65, Got back on friday after a week there. Plenty of bream around in the lake and around the sand flats, no flathead though. I did a couple of runs down around Cape Hawke and whilst the sounder showed plenty of life on the bommies etc, the leather jackets were very quickly onto any bait and nearby tackle, if its a feed you want take some steel trace.
Saw one guy on Sunday arvo who with his 2 young blokes bagged out on reds to around 5kg, mum was the word on the spot though and he only did it once despite attempts to replay the event.
