How do crabs for bait go freezing them for a later date?
Any other ways to store them for weeks?
Thanks

I use the small purple rock crabs for blueys in Hervey bay and spend three or so weeks prior collecting them around brisbane and freezing them down with a brine solution lets them thaw slower on the day. No noticeable difference with the catch rate for blueys up there with live or dead rock crabs.
You only get one freeze out of them tho, whatever is left over goes to berley.
Jack.
