Can anybody tell me what datum this book was based on. I have lost my copy but have the data backed up from my gps which has died. I loaded the backup to my new one but every thing seems to be almost 50km off from where they really are. Manly leads are near jumpinpin supposedly. went out today and marked a few things to compare and the figures are all over the place.. This is one very confused pup!!!!!!!!!!!!

No datum was supplied with the marks. When the book first came out I sent an e-mail to the author about it and he confirmed datum for each mark was not know.

I'm sure you will find on this booklet somewhere it states marks are in wgs84 or agd84 as best of their knowledge.

But it also says no responibility taken as marks could be in any format.

I gained a mark from somewhere on the net, no one was able to find this mark. Fortunatley my gps was in agd66 at the time and mark was spot on.

Pays to do a bit of searching sometimes.
