Rover park 2008

Took Brooke to Rover Park for a few days....


The Nissan performed well, and in fact I managed to ' do ' all but 1 extreme track on the map. ;D ;D ;D

I had the confidence in the truck and my new T-Max winch , which wasn't needed. Nights were cool, mornings foggy and days great. 8-)

I again managed to hit a weekend with minimal people about.

the animals we saw :-

Donkeys, goats, mini horses, roosters, chooks, guinea pigs, ducks, shit load of bird life, Rock Wallabies, Pretty face wallabies, Potoroo's, Eastern Greys, Possums.... and a Giraffe, although this guy didn't move all weekend.. ( those of you that have been there will understand )

The owners, Heidi and Hans are wonderful hosts and nothing is any trouble for these pair.

I even had a go on the flying fox........ just a big kid I suppose. :-/

Found the Gold and Copper mines and waterfalls.

The place is 230k's from Brisbane and 35k's east of Tenterfield...

I went down via, Jimboomba, Beaudesert, Rathdowney, Urbenville, Tabulam and Drake... but headed back via Casino, Kyogle, Murwillumbah ( visited Bugman ) and the Tweed.

I DIDN"T do the creek bed ( rock crawl ) and Mud Pit. :P

OH, and as seen hereabouts, this is no place for Toyotas :P ;D ::)

We so need to organize a M&G there sometime in the near future. With me and the new job however it would be wise to give me ample warning so I can book that weekend in advance to make sure I get rostered off. Glad your Navara is going well finally.

yes it is a really lovely part of the world down there!the giraffe never moved the whole weekend we were there either! they had the donkeys as mates, did you not see the deers?????? that first pic where brooke is riding her bike!!!!!! man i had some fun on that track in the paj! nice donnut pad at the bottom:Pthat was right beside where we camped...

i would love to do a trip to city view at beaudesert!
keen maybe to do a day trip to find good tracks then do a weekend! who is in???????????? nice and close to everyone!

YES, Shane, forgot the deer.......

That donut pad is all chewed up and dry. I created ' circles ' there about 2 years ago, love the LSD control. AND, I didn't put on ya Savas for this trip, the Coopers done the job OK.

From what i can see of that toyota all it would need is a set of wheels and it would still out perform all the nissans HA HA HA ;D ;D
