G'day all,

I was up at Hervey Bay on the week-end and saw this boat in the Great Sandy Straits Marina. It's a Naiad 12.5m called Awesome it seats about 34 people, it joined the whale watching fleet last year and is said to go 48 knots with this 1200hp set-up. Thought I'd post it up for those that haven't seen it before.
Oh, and for those zuki 4 banger lovers!

Regards, T_P

I did think of saying something like..."would only need 2 Etecs" but then I thought better of it.

Thats if he gets a full load, if he only gets 12 pax then he's going to lose out on wages insurance intrest on his money, or cancel the trip Ouch!
either way lose - lose, situation.

I hope he didn't go overboard on this venture, otherwise it's going to end in :'( .

Hey lethal,
It's actually 3 trips a day now, so with a full boat each time that's 10G's a day.

Nope, I've gone off the Verado idea (not because of that belt furfy, either, Jabba :P:P:P). We have to find a way to strap a Pratt & Whitney on the roof. Very reliable, fairly quiet, not sure on fuel usage, but you'd be out there in just a few seconds...

An idea I floated some time ago was a Bristol Centaurus? 18 cylinder radial. Not sure what they weigh, but they have power:weight to die for. Only about 3,000 HP. I wonder what prop?

OK, we finished yet?;D;D;D

That blower furfy is true, because I read it on the internet.....

That Pratt and Whitney idea is brillant... I recon we get one and strap to my Binimi an get it a go this weekend..... Sick to death with the time it take to get out to the shelf (45min on a good day)... If we can get it down to, say 10-15min at 1/2 throttle, I would thinkk were onto a winner....

Then we would do a marketing campain agianst every outboard manufacture.... I can all ready imagine the "tug off war".... Six boats, each with a differant brand off motor... Our beast with a Jet stapped to the binimi (very stong binimi)....

It's on the Six Pack are slowly making ground, Our jet gets up to fullthrottle and we then blast the afterburrner.. We win and the Six Pack are chared to the water line..... Which also proves, we have the most relaible motor.....
