Hey Col,
My family had one when I was younger, and we did a lot of research into them before buying them.
The Fraser's are/were made in WA, and were all built with a deep V to handle the Fremantle doctor. They handle quite well.
We had a 626, the 20 footer. I know the boat you are looking at, and it is a 737, built probably around late eighties. It seems to be a good buy to me.
Our 626 had a rebuilt transom (check yours), and it started to rot up under the bunks due to the condensation which is always up there. Check the floor (it may be glass?), the transom and the bunks.
The motor can be plugged into a computer at a Suzuki dealer to tell you exactly how it has been treated. The 250 Zuk should push it along at about 22 knots at 4000rpm, using around 25-28l/h. Very good considering the size of boat and what you can do with it.
I personally like the 737, and it presents very good value IMHO.
Regards
Darren
