Hi everyone, a week ago I was looking for advice on a fishing family boat. After looking at your reports i sent an email with my requirements to most boat sellers in NSW QLD and VIC. My budget was up to $80k including options and I received a heap of quotes. My options added up to 10000k. I have looked at a lot of boats over the last week and have come up with the following: What are your opinions and experience on these boats.
660 Trailcraft malcolm douglas
610 Tabs
625 Cruisecraft Explorer
2052 Trophy Walkaround
I would appreciate your opinions.
Cheers

Go Glass if ride is an important factor, on a flat day the traily and the tabs go very quick but on a normal to rough day the trophy wins followed by the cruisecraft then back in the field are the tinnies

The Trophy would be the top of your list IMO.

Tony , all slightly different boats, do you want to walk around to the front of the boat ? I agree the Trophy is a nice boat.

Is the Trophy over beam for Australian roads?

No Timiboy,
it has a 2.47m beam, so comfortably under the limit.

Modern Fishing had one as project/trip boat for a year or so. Seemed to be a pretty impressive fishing platform.
The 2 Dans DVD features one as well if I remember correctly.

Hey mate i think cruise craft i have been out on a few of these and the ride is exceptional and they are built to suit our east coast conditions. I have a 21ft kevlacat i paid around the same figure 2nd hand but it has been outstanding might be another option.

I was in a rush before, one other observation: I believe the Cruisecraft will KILL the other boats for resale. I guess it depends how long you plan on keeping the rig. But I don't know what resale would be like on the TABS boat - I know they're a good rig, but I never researched them.
Cheers,
Tim
I would rate the trailcraft at the bottom :|
