i was wondering if it was legal to leave my bait board on the front of my boat while in tow on the road it measures about 900mmx500mm

As long as its secure and doesn't protrude too far out from the boat there should be no problem.

if its straight out the front it should be fine as long as it does not go over the front of the towing hitch.

Breamboss, at 0.9m x 0.5m, what could possibly be the cause of your concern? Is it fixed & unlikely to cause a hazard to live or limb to other road users or users of other public access areas where you tow your boat? Do you have pic?

More to the point why is it on the front of the boat????????????
