Sounder + GPS

Hey guys I have a HB Matrix 17 and one of the new Magellan Triton 300 hand helds (dont buy one of these if you love the way your old garmin works). Has anyone combined these 2 as a "fishing system'? Anyone have any idea where i might get a cable to have a go? Is it worth the effort?

I had a Garmin GPS72 connected to my Matrix 12 and was not overly excited with the result. The biggest dissapointment was that the Matrix can not actually read the data (waypoints/routes etc) in the Garmin and that it actually only works as a GPS receiver. I like to have all my routes and waypoints on my portable so I can take them with me when out with mates in other boats. Bought the cable on Ebay for 20 or 30 bucks from memory. Plenty on there usually.
