Hi guys,
I am trying to decide which rig to go for. I am looking for a well made, smooth riding and stable v-nose punt.
I must admit the Mako craft apears to be a better made boat and from what i hear rides exceptionaly well and very stable.
I have been out many times on hornets, and they too are a nice boat. However, feel the quality control is poor and welds and workmanship could be alot better.
What are your thoughts?

Hi there Jezz11 a mate of mine bought a makocraft and had a few problems ( welds cracking , vibratoins and paint peeling off ) i also have a larger mako offshore it is a differnt kettle if fish but i have had a few minor problems nothing to major .
Not bagging out mako`s im pretty happy with mine now but the quality control needs an upgrade in my opinion my boat has been back several times to have things fixed but i supose i now know you get what you pay for if the boat is cheaper there is usually a reason for that .
Keep that in mind when making your decision.
I am not trying to put you off but you asked the question so i am giving you honest feedback .
Regards MONOSTRETCHO
have a look at the seajays
if you buy a quintrex you mite be donating to the greenies (amcs )

Thanks guys. Personally, i love sea jay boats. However, the nomad in 4.15 has only 1.6m bottoms. THought that was a little thin for such a boat..
I'm suprised and a little concerned to hear that Monostretcho, I've only every heard good reports about the makos. I've had an absolutely brilliant run with my Stessl and I am thinking about upgrading to a mako (480 ETT SC) in a couple of months time.
Mind you my mate has only had problem after problem after problem with his 8 month old 5 metre hornet trophy - although there are always horror stories out there.
