jewies in the pine?????

hey fellas was wonder if any one has been getting on to any decent jew in the pine river of late! i have never caught a good size jewie an was wondering is it would be better to fish closer to the mouth or up in the futher parts of the river like around that big rock wall in the main stretch! not sure weither to use fresh strip bait or livies either can any one help me out?????

have not fished the pine for well over 15 years.

the bloke who used to run the boat hire at deep water bend used to regularly score large jewies right in the middle of the river there at deep water bend. he ued live herrings at night.
