Yeah I knew that....:D

I think there is alot of dudding that goes on with photos on this site.
Some of the BIG jacks that have appeared this season on this site have been reef jacks and also Jacks which have been taken in land locked locations.

Pete, landlocked???? thats very interesting. I think theres only been 2 blokes on ausfish catching jacks above 60 that are genuine. I think the 79.5 was real, and the few high 60s caught up your way are real too. Was one of them the landlocked one, or are you talking about sub 60 jacks....

You missed some good fun on fri, but we cant mention it or the thread will get closed.

cheers

Andrew im not gunna say to much as Im not positive about this. But this was pointed out to me by a friend and i agree after looking at it again and from reading the thread there is another who implys the same.Look at the colour of your jack in your avatar, photo taking at night with flash, now go back and look at colour of Jack in a recent post and see if you see the difference.Cheers Jamie

Jamie, I've just looked at my photos, most of which are taken at night, almost all of live jacks just before release, and a couple of deadies. Each one is a different colour ranging from red to gold to silver to almost black and I've got some to pretty much match that one. What are you saying? I think we should all ease up a bit on calling foul until it is a little more obvious than this, what do u reckon? Since the "Units" demise no one can post anything out of the ordinary with out being accused of something. It might be some setup, but we wouldn't know, ease up!

Cheers Mate

Ps Sorry if it seams I having a go at U only, I'm not its a bloody epidemic. (smallunit pox" perhaps)

Didley its just an awfully dark jack wouldnt you agree though. He never mentioned anything about location so who honestly knows except for him.Mate this is nothing to do with small units crap, this is about another fish.Have you ever heard or seen of a estuary jack of that size being caught off the bank with no weight and did he answer your question whether it was a reef jack or estuary? All i can say is I have my doubts about it coming from tidal water ,you can think what you want mate. Its just my opinion and I see some others doubt it aswell.Cheers Jamie PS no offence taken Didley, same for you i hope mate.

Nice fish Didley,i see your point on colour, that is dark aswell. But you still know what I mean about the other fish.I do believe it was landbased cause you can see the grass all over the fish as for it coming from a lake well who knows. It is remarkable for a jack that size to still be in a tidal river or creek though you have to agree.Cheers Jamie

I find they go dark after a few minutes on the brag mat. it doesnt take long. Maybe some blood up more than others, due to the fight. Some big ones dont fight as much as some mid size ones. Fat fish would be a better indication of landlocked.

Just to clear it up, that big jack is not the fish PP and I was talking about being landlocked.

cheers
