No mackerel, no crabs, no whiting

Went for a squirt with Terry from work yesterday morning. His in-laws are out for a holiday atm and want to sample some Qld seafood.

Well I thought there might be some sandies still about in the deep weater half way across the bay - NO. :(

Well mate it's a bit early in the season but there might be a couple of schoolies kicking about the Rous or Rainbow channel - NO. :(

Plan C is some winteries around the dog leg and other spots near the Rous channel - NO. :(

All in all a pretty crook result for 4 hours.

Never mind, last weekend at DI made up for it so I'm not complaining too hard. ;D ;D

mate there are plenty of whiting in that area you just need to move around to find them. i picked up 70 on saturday and left them biting there heads off, but had to move about 6 or 7 times before i found them. and they were in 5m of water whereas the other day they were in 3m, persevere my friend.
