Hey guys,
First post here, Im looking for a new rod after snapping my Sakana Alien (my fault and very stupid thing to do). Im looking for one that fits the following bill.
1. Between 6'6 & 7'
2. 2 - 4kg
3. 2 or more piece
4. No more then $250
It will be used with a Shimano Symetre 2500 spooled with 6 and 8lb fireline.
Thanks,
James

There is a Loomis GL3 SR 842-2 going cheap in the classifieds atm that would be a great choice for that reel (imo). Other than that, Shimano T-Curve, Nitro Powerbream and Berkley Dropshot all have good reps.

asking to be recommended a rod is opening a can of worms, everyone has differing opinions. The best bet take the reel or if they have a symetre 2500 at the tackle store use it and try to balance the outfit to your own liking. It has to feel good in the hand to you as you are the one who will be using it.

Thanks for all the ideas so far.

Excellent choice. I second that.
That Loomis would usually be well above your specified price but for that money is probably the best your gonna buy.

Have you considered the penn proguide 7' 2-4kg, I hear they were doing some special price deal. normal retail around the $200 but you could pick one up for a lot less than that
cheers
