Fished this morning from Golden Beach again. Have been hitting a favourite old spot of late that usually produces a few fish around this time of year. Unfortunately, the old spot doesn't seem to willing to cooperate so far. Two fellas in a boat decided castnetting within five metres of my line was just brilliant too>:( . After two hours of casting various plastics and poppers I left with the donut still hanging over my head.

Had a quick go at another spot further up the backwaters. The donut still persisted, despite hooking three moses that all miraculously shed the hook as I was lifting them. So it's going to be one of those days is it...:-/

Decided on a change of tack and moved up the coastline to Kawana. After nearly an hour of casting gulps I'd still had no luck when finally I spotted a nice size bream idling between two pontoons. I skipcast toward him and managed two skips and a perfect landing right at the base of the pontoon; silent entry. As the shrimp drifted down he followed and after a nervous 30-40 seconds line finally started peeling off and I closed to bail arm and had my first fish! Bugger, I haven't been that happy to catch a just legal bream for years!

Another two followed, as well as a number of destroyed plastics and even a little flounder. No pics of the bream, the camera batteries started to dieearly in the session, so just the sunrise pics for today. A fortnight's leave coming up in a couple of weeks, I sure hope I start finding some better form before then!

Hi Joel,
There is nothing wrong with the pictures of the sunrise, I have seen bream before. I wonder if some people have been taught fishing etiquette because we had one of those people drive up to us at full speed and stop within five meters of us yesterday. I don't know if they are ignorant or just plain stupid.

Keep tryin on the fish mate persistence is everything

Cheers Fellas, I'm sure the mojo can't hide for long. I'll just have to catch Dr Evil to get it back. Bring on the holidays!
