Buy a glass/graphite blend ...... Get the best of both worlds ( strength , lightness & robustness)
High modulus graphite is not a good choice for rock fishing ..... just too fragile
Glass is just too heavy ..... specially if a lot of casting is involved & you want a 11 or 12 foot rod

Have to agree with NAGG on this one, a blended rod will be great for most of the rock fishing applications. A pure high modulus graphite would probably be too stiff and fragile for most applications, whilst a pure graphite rod will be of considerable weight and will definitely affect the balance and feel of your outfit. A blended rod with a slow taper should provide the best of both worlds. There are many options available depending upon your budget and target species. Best to go to your local tackle shop and have a chat.
