left manly harbour bout 6.30 sunday for a whiting session with the young feller and the missus got there bout 7 straight on the fish 15 to 20 good diver whiting on the 1st drift using fresh blood worms......2nd drift boated bout 6 as it was gettin near the bottom of the tide.......the fish died of from there but ended up with 70 odd which i unloaded a few on the rellies and had a good feed for myself...they where a good size for diver whiting between 23 to 32cm....sorry no pics...am new to the site and will take pics next time to post....

Hey Rosco1974,
Sounds like a good day out. I looked in the Beacon to Beacon but could not find any mention of the reserve banks - where would you find these banks? My wife and middle daughter just love :-*catching a feed of whiting but don't like sitting around for hours :-/so this sounds likely spot to take them.8-)

I assume Rosco was referring to the Naval Reserve Banks. Try Map 79, page 130 (7th Edition), just north west of Peel Island and south west of the Amity Banks. Comes up to 16/18 feet of water out of 30'+.
