Is there anyone going to Rainbow Beach for the May Day long weekend?

Rodman and all others coming to rainbow/Tin Can.,

Please be aware that the bay to bay sailing event is on this weekend. All day yesterday 2-5-08 trailer-sailers 20 to 30 ft. ers on the road to Tin Can. They sail from Tin Can to Hervey Bay. Watch where you anchor or leave your pots. Both could get run over and dragged out to sea. I am talking about a lot of boats.

The ramp at the dolphins is rather crowded.Rodman you will be right launching at Carlos. But some of the narrows in the Sandy Straits will be better staying away from. With keels, they need deeper water so the channels will be conjested.
However should be a fantastic sight all those boats bearing down on you. A bit like Custer.

The deal is, they put the boats in at Tin Can, the wives tow the trailers to Hervey Bay, and have a hens night while they wait.
