I'm heading up to Broome and want to know if there are any secrets to catching triple tail - lures or bait. Any experts out there? John

Im no expert and have only caught 3 of them to date, but every one has come from either a bouy, crab float or a beacon well away from any other structure.

I didnt even know what one was to my mates caught a few up in the Gulf and I looked it up on the internet and saw that they were good eating and we through them back!!
We caught them trolling lues in the channel outside a river mouth as a bycatch when pursuing monster barra and threadies.
The book I have says you can catch them in mangrove creeks to offshore.Hanging around mangrove, snags and flotsam in the water.
Cut baits, live baits and lures are the go,but in saying that is'nt that the same approach for most top end fish?Your just as likely to score a barra, jack, fingermark, cod ,salmon or queenie etc are'nt you when using any of these things up there?
