I was at Nudgee Beach yesterday. Saw many fishing at the main channel along Nudgee Rd. Also in the mangrove area along the broadwalk even one fly fishing. What type of fishes can you catch there. The mangrove area look good to try with run in/out tide.

would help if you said if you have a boat or on foot.

but i'll tell you what i do know from the times that i fished there.

i found that i had the most luck once the creek turned away from the road, with bream on the far (shallow) side, and flathead closer to your feet. was only using a bream rod with small soft plastics, the mozzes in there will drive you mad.

with the main channel i've mostly caught the same on lures or small live bait that you can catch in a castnet at low tide( towards the mouth past the log) i found that if i used bait i would loss it to crabs.

if you have a boat try the little creek that starts just near the mouth it has some good steep banks and i've caught a good bream to 33cm there, just need some good sized sinkers when the tide starts to come in.

hope this helps

you can catch tailor, bream, flathead, cod, flounder, sometimes jacks if you know the spot, rays, sharks, stonefish, catfish, pike, etc.the boardwalk is pretty good at times too. beware mossies and sand flies are bad.
