Gidday Ollie,
Queensland is a hell of a big place, what part are you migrating to?

G'day Ollie,
About half way to Gympie is an outer norther suburb of Brisbane called Morayfield. Danny runs a fishing and camping shop called Outback Adventure. He's a die hard fisho and will give good advice and service. I would expect there would be tackle stores in Gympie - the Tackle World francise has good stores in most "fishy" areas, but you would need a local Wide Bay-er (Gympie is part of the Wide By region) to give you some feedback on more local stores.
You'll enjoy the change from Germany that's for sure. You are locating to the hub of some of the best fishing around
Cheers
Rhys

There is a bait & tackle at Burpengary which is just north of Morayfield and south of Caboolture on Ullhmann Road.
See Wayne and he will do you a good deal on tackle, rods and reels.

A true " Tackle Store " will give you the best advice and generally a better range opposed to other outdoor, sporting stores andcamping stores.
Tackle Warehouse, Fishead, Logan River Marine, Mossops, Jones Tackle.
Yellow pages will have the addresses or Google them when you get here

Tackle warehouse would be a good one or Jones Tackle as Captain Stabin said
There is a good tackle store in Gympie on the Tin Can Bay road, just past the Gold Mine tourist attraction
