Mr XXXX,
Are you asking about Double Island Point Sunshine Coast or Double Island off Palm Cove in Cairns, or maybe a different Double island i'm not familiar with??

Mr XXXX,
If you are land based the SE corner can be really good fishing, we've landed horse Bream there and good Tailor, and often seen big Y'Tail Kings patrolling the rocks there, all of above has been from the rock ledges in the corner, watch it in a big SE wind though. There's usually good gutters for about 1km up to the headland which have produced good Tailor and Trevally for me previously. I'm told of serious pelagics off the rocks there too, haven't hit them before. I've caught good pelagics off Noosa National Park rocks so no reason D.I rocks wouldn't also fish well for em. If boat based then you'll have to ask someone else, i've not fished the area from boats.
