Hello, I recently purchased a Pflueger Supreme Spin Reel 30, the reel is magnesium and has 10bb.

In comparison to a Daiwa sol, the reel does not compare in terms of smoothness but it is pretty light and fairly smooth.

I opened the reel up and I only saw 8bb, unless there are few more hidden. But that’s still not bad.

I want to know if anyone had any experience with these reels and what do you think about them?

I have a 40 and have had for over a years now (it was a import for the us where they have been out for a bit longer then here). I actually really really like it and probably use it more then my sol. It has caught some big fish in the lst year and its very versatile, Its super light and has a cranking retrieve ratio of 6.2 so i use it for throwing slugs at tuna and mackerel as well as placies at bay snaps. Only complaint i have was out of the box the drag was very average but after i ground flat the washers it worked a treat (i have now also throw in some jackerskine smoothies as i do with most of my reels anyways). The reel lives a pretty hard life so i am constantly touching up all the nicks and scratches with clear nail polish to avoid the magnesium corroding in the salt water environment. I guess thats just something i have to live with but for the $150 odd dollars it cost me i have no real complaints i think i would be hard pressed to find a better reel for the money.

good tough reels, they have put a lot of thought and effort into thier top end reels over the past 12mths. the 2 bearing may b in the line roller and/or the handle.

i bought mine from us for $100 delivered (super special), so i thought i will give it a go.
it seems that the more i use it, the smoother it gets and it is really light.
bayfisher like you said, for the money i dont think you can do better.
